As the core team behind the Kennan Institute’s fellowship program, Nina Rozhanovskaya and Victoria Pardini weave together the Institute’s history and mission with experiences of Kennan Institute alumni to highlight the value of human exchange in foreign policy. They share the benefits and challenges of doing this work, including how things have shifted over time as Russia has become less open and more autocratic, especially since the start of the war with Ukraine.
